Peace on earth through celebrating not only Christ’s birth but also his atonement and resurrection were the takeaways BYU-Hawaii students and community members received after watching the First Presidency Christmas Devotional on Dec. 4.
BYU-Hawaii students said the talks from the 186th Semiannual General Conference were able to touch them personally. The conference center, seating approximately 21,000 people, was filled for every session on Oct.
BYU-Hawaii church leaders said they are working to encourage service opportunities within the Laie community through the Just Serve website organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The website allows students to propose, plan, and volunteer for events happening nearby.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints struggling with thoughts of suicide or giving assistance to friends and families are now able to access the new “Preventing Suicide” webpage launched by the Church.
