Scott Hyde shares how bridling passions allows people to better share love of God with others

To demonstrate how and why to bridle your passions, Scott Hyde, professor of mathematics, shared the words of prophets and apostles, as well as personal experiences at devotional in the BYU–Hawaii Cannon Activities Center on Jan. 22.

Coming to Hawaii and serving a senior mission was not in the plans of Elder Brent Esplin, a senior missionary from Utah assigned to the Religious Education Department at BYU–Hawaii. He said because of his faith, Hawaii brought great blessings of health and spiritual growth.

Elder McAffee touches hearts of students through his stories and happy nature

 

Elder Ralph McAffee, a Church Educational System missionary and religion teacher at BYU–Hawaii, has devoted his whole life to teaching religion for the Church. He will finish his mission teaching the students of BYUH at the end of this semester.
