Lombok, Indonesia, an island known by tourists for its crystal clear water and vast coral reef, was struck by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in the early morning of August 5.
The Puna lava flow in Pāhoa, Hawai‘i has reached residential areas and has completely destroyed a home and overtaken the local cemetery, as of 4:45 P.M. on Thursday, Nov. 13. The flow has been measured in the past week to be moving at around 960 ft.
Lava flows from Kilauea volcano on the Big Island have been on the move since June 27 and are threatening to force Puna district residents to pack up their belongings and leave their houses.
