One year after the mosque shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand on March 15, 2019, BYUH students and alumni shared their experiences in the aftermath of the shooting. Each individual talked about the impact and healing that took place in New Zealand over the last year. They said while people aren't talking about it as much as they were right after it happened, the tragedy will be remembered along with the unity they saw and felt as people united together to recover from it.

Tanner, along with his wife, Susan Tanner, brought to light the international nature of Christmas at BYU–Hawaii by showcasing part of Sister Tanner’s extensive Nativity collection at the Christ in Christmas devotional and lighting ceremony on Nov. 25. They also reminded students to make Christ the center of their Christmas celebrations.
Six English majors attend National Undergraduate Literature Conference with professors
Professors Joseph Plicka and Ned Williams of the English Department accompanied six students to Orem, Utah for the National Undergraduate Literature Conference. The conference was held at the Weber State University and has been held there for 30 years, and it is normally held on General Conference weekend, said Plicka.
