The year 2013 brought a lot of changes for the American Library Association. Popular books for children and young adults including “Captain Underpants” and “The Hunger Games” series are on the association’s list of formally challenged books of 2013. The following list was compiled by the ALA and includes the top 10 “most challenged” books, which means a formally written letter was made to take the books off of public and school shelves.• "Captain Underpants" (series) by Dav Pilkey.Reasons: Offensive language, unsuited for age group, violence.• "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison.Reasons: Offensive language, sexually explicit, unsuited to age group, violence.• "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie.Reasons: Drugs, alcohol and smoking, offensive language, racism, sexually explicit, unsuited to age group.• "Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L.
