Sharing their favorite places on the island, two BYU-Hawaii students and Tripadviser give suggestions on what to do and see on Oahu.
Koko Head is one exhilarating yet enjoyable endeavor and an exceptional choice, according to Siosifa Tau, a sophomore majoring in history from Tonga. He said, “Whenever I go on this hike with my friends, it reminds me that my hard work will be worth it at the end when I take in the breathtaking view at the top of Koko Head.” He added those who embark on this journey will gain a deeper understanding of life, foster resilience, and build strength to overcome whatever challenges they encounter.

The golden beaches of the North Shore are a favorite leisure place for Blake Collier, a senior majoring in social work from Arizona. “I love walking along the beaches like Hukilau or Temple Beach close to campus. Beach time is the best,” she said. She added that beach walks are relaxing and the best workout for her body. It helps clear her mind and relieves her stress, Collier said.
