Campus comment: What food allergies do you have?

Sione Tukuafe, a senior from Tonga studying information technology, said, “I found out I was allergic to soy sauce when I took an allergy test.”

Mark Gerber, a sophomore from Nevada studying supply chain management, said, “I’m allergic to bad food.”

James Wan, a senior from Hong Kong studying exercise sports science, said, “I’ve always known I was allergic to chicken. I can have eggs, but I can’t have anything with chicken in it.”

Haruki Meguro, a sophomore from Japan studying biology, said, “I’ve been lactose intolerant ever since I was young.”

F. Mat Sotogi, a senior from Australia majoring in graphic design, said, “I’m not allergic to pork chops, but my budget is.”

Brittany Tanuvasa, a sophomore from Oregon majoring in music, said, “I have an intolerance to taro leaves, which are in a lot of Samoan foods.”
