BYU-Hawaii students share some words their mothers always told them.
Bubba Au, a senior majoring in political science, said his mother told him, “Don’t complain about something if you didn’t give it your best shot.”
Ninoy Kusuma, a freshman majoring in music from Indonesia, said his mother advised him to, “Pray and let the spirit guide you.”
Christopher Anaya, a junior majoring in business from Texas, said, “Be scared of the crazy girls.”
Kyla Greening, a sophomore majoring in Pacific Island studies from New Zealand, said, “It doesn’t matter what other people think. Just do you.”
John Michael Bangal, an undeclared sophomore from the Philippines, said, “ Can I borrow money?”
