Oahu art museum features Hawaiian and Pacific works and more from around the world
Located near downtown Honolulu, The Honolulu Museum of Art sits across from Thomas Square. According to The HoMA website, the museum highlights collections of art from Africa, Pan-Asia, Hawaii and the Pacific and the Americas and Europe. The museum also features decorative arts, ancient art, contemporary art, photography and works on paper, textiles and more. The HoMA is open Sunday , Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. The museum is closed on Monday and Tuesday. General admission is $20, with a discount for Hawaii residents totaling $10. Visitors 18 and younger and students with a valid school ID can enter for free.
