Lebron James, argubably the most popular player in the National Basketball Association, has teamed up with Samsung Galaxy and made an app for Android users that gives diehard James fans an exclusive inside look. The “Greatness - LeBron James Edition” app allows fans to talk to each other and stay up to date with all LeBron James news. Vibe.com writer Terrence Watson said, “Lebron James seems to have it all . Multiple MVP awards and endorsement deals galore. So what do you do for the man who has it all? Build him an app that allows fans all-inclusive access to the man behind the brands.”Junior Seufale, a junior from Samoa majoring in IT, is a huge Heat fan, but was skeptical when he first heard about the LeBron app. Seufale said when he first heard about the LeBron app he just thought it was funny, but after he checked it out he thought it was “pretty cool”. Seufale said, “I like that I gives you music picked by Lebron and it keeps you up to date on the Heat in the playoffs.”Adam Fromal, NBA Columnist, describes the LeBron app in his article for bleachreport.com. Fromal explains how the app has four main categories. The “stats” database, gives James’ fans easy access to “the Kings” statistics, and keeps them up to date on the Heats performance. The second category is all about the jams as it provides the user with “LeBron radio” playing 60 songs picked by James himself. The third section of the app has video and pictures of the James’ life while preparing for the game and reflecting on it after. The final section of the app focuses on his family life and service oriented work.
