According to a recent poll by USA Today, millennials are leaving presidential candidate Donald Trump more and more. They’re flocking towards democrat Hillary Clinton, which gives her the missing votes to stand a chance against Bernie Sanders.

In a Clinton versus Trump election, she would outnumber her opponent among the younger generation by 2-1 votes, according to realpolitics.com

“As millennials, we want facts,” said Taylor Royal Mower, a senior majoring in political science from Idaho, “and want to see the truth. We have all information at our hands. If Donald Trump would say, ‘We build a wall’ he has no information of how.”

Halston Wood, a sophomore majoring in biochemistry from Idaho, said, “I understand why a lot of people would move away from Trump and towards Clinton. Some of the things he says are pretty offensive to specific groups. That is why the millennials are against him. Maybe Clinton seems more like a millennial friendly candidate.”

Alyssa Woo a junior from Nevada, majoring in biomedicine, cautioned, “Clinton has been known to do things under the table a lot without the public’s knowledge.”

“Hilary Clinton has been in politics for years,” said Mower, which gives her more credibility in his view. Although upon talking to his friends, they came to the conclusion that “we wouldn’t want to vote for either.”
